What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used to make sites work, to remember your preferences, and to collect information about how visitors use the site. Some cookies are required for the site to function. Others run only with your consent.

How we use cookies

We use the minimum number of cookies required to operate the site and, with your consent, to understand how visitors use it so we can improve it. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. With your consent, we also use a marketing cookie (the Meta Pixel) to measure whether visits and purchases came from our advertising. It only loads if you opt in, and you can turn it off at any time. Analytics and marketing cookies are both off by default.

Analytics and the Meta Pixel never run on assessment, account and dashboard pages, whatever you choose. That covers the assessment itself, results delivery, your Aperio account, sign-in and password pages, the organisation dashboard, screener requests and the payment confirmation page. Google Analytics is set up with Google Signals and ad personalisation switched off, and it is sent the page address without any query string.

Your choices

You can change your cookie preferences at any time. The preferences panel lets you turn analytics and marketing cookies on or off. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled because the site will not work without them.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you do this, parts of the site that rely on strictly necessary cookies (such as the dashboard login) may not work.

A note on data we have already collected

If you previously gave consent and now revoke it, we will stop sending data to analytics services from your visits going forward. We cannot retrospectively delete data already received by Google Analytics, but you can request deletion directly through Google's privacy controls.
