Built on peer-reviewed frameworks, not proprietary typologies.
Aperio Profiles is a suite of evidence-based workplace assessment tools developed by Liberation Academy. Every instrument references published, peer-reviewed research. None of it is invented.
What we measure
Most workplace assessments measure personality in isolation. They tell you someone is introverted or conscientious, but they do not tell you that the same person cannot start tasks without external accountability, loses track of time so fundamentally that alarms do not help, or masks emotional distress so effectively that nobody notices until they burn out. Aperio Profiles measures executive function alongside personality because the interaction between the two is where the most important workplace insights live. A person who scores high on conscientiousness and high on organisational difficulty is not disorganised. They are spending enormous hidden energy to appear organised. That distinction changes the support they need entirely.
The evidence base
The Workplace Profile draws on Barkley's model of executive function, Costa and McCrae's Five Factor model of personality, and current neurodiversity research. It references NICE NG87 guidelines and Equality Act 2010 guidance for workplace recommendations. The screeners draw on validated clinical instruments including Hull et al.'s CAT-Q for autism camouflaging, Maslach's MBI for burnout, McConahay's Modern Racism Scale, and Carroll's Three-Stratum model for cognitive aptitude. The full evidence base is listed in every profile report.
What this is not
This is not a diagnostic tool. It does not diagnose ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or any other condition. It identifies patterns in how you think, feel, and work. If those patterns are consistent with a clinical condition, we say so and suggest you discuss them with a qualified professional. A clinical psychologist or psychiatrist is the only person who can make a diagnosis.
